Objective: Evaluate general adequacy and culture fit of the candidate.

While HR or Recruitment manager can’t access any technical capabilities. At this stage we can save time of the team by filtering candidates for the criteria:

  • Motivation - see if candidates really wants to join / likes the company
  • Adequacy - are there any red-flags on the behaviors
  • Communication - see how candidates matches his ability to talk with the position
  • Verification - align if the self-evaluation data is provided based on real information

The reason why this step is important is because the next stage will be actual hiring manager interview. While most processes are focusing on the Hiring Manager / executive talk at the end of the hiring pipeline, we try to prioritize the candidate quality from the beginning to fix the pipeline from the top of the funnel.
